2. Data the app processes on your iPhone
Finding and controlling TVs
With your permission (iOS “Local Network”), the app searches your Wi-Fi network for compatible TVs using standard discovery protocols (Bonjour/mDNS and SSDP) and then connects directly to the TV you choose. Remote commands, pairing requests and app-launch requests travel only between your iPhone and your TV on your local network. They are not sent to us.
During pairing, some TVs show the name of the controlling app and ask you to approve it. The TV manufacturer's own software handles what the TV stores about that approval.
Saved TVs
To reconnect without pairing again, the app stores on your iPhone, for each TV you save:
- the TV's name, local IP address, port and type;
- a device identifier provided by the TV, and when you last used it;
- pairing credentials issued by the TV (such as access tokens or certificates and keys), kept in the iOS Keychain.
This information stays on your device and may be included in your own encrypted iPhone backups according to your iOS settings. We cannot access it.
App shortcuts
App shortcuts (for example YouTube or Netflix) ask your TV to open that app. Your iPhone does not contact those services. Any use of those apps on the TV is governed by their own privacy policies.
3. Purchases (REMOTE Premium)
Subscriptions and one-time purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. Apple acts as an independent controller for that processing under its own privacy policy. We do not receive your name, Apple ID, or payment details. The app reads your purchase status from Apple's StoreKit framework on your device and keeps a cached copy of your Premium status on your iPhone so that Premium features work offline.
Apple may provide us with aggregated, non-identifying sales and usage reports through App Store Connect. Apple may also show the app's developer contact details on the App Store as required by EU law.
4. Support email
If you write to info@a3ista.com, we process your email address, your message and anything you choose to include (for example your TV model, iOS version and app version) to answer your request. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering your message (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), or steps related to a contract with you (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Our email is hosted by Hostinger as our processor. We keep support emails for as long as needed to resolve the request and for up to 24 months afterwards, unless law requires longer.
5. What we do not do
- No analytics, crash-reporting, advertising or tracking SDKs.
- No sale or sharing of personal data, and no tracking across apps or websites.
- No collection of contacts, photos, location, camera or microphone data.
6. This website
a3ista.com uses no cookies, analytics or third-party scripts. Our hosting provider (Hostinger) may process standard technical data such as your IP address in server logs to deliver the site and keep it secure.
7. Deleting your data
- Forget a saved TV in the app (My TVs → Forget) to delete its stored details and pairing credentials.
- Deleting the app removes its stored data from your iPhone. To be sure pairing credentials in the Keychain are removed, forget your TVs in the app first.
- To remove pairing approvals stored on the TV, use the TV's own settings.
- To have support emails deleted, write to info@a3ista.com.
8. Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask for access to, correction or deletion of your personal data, restriction of processing, data portability, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interests. Contact us at info@a3ista.com. You can also lodge a complaint with the Slovenian Information Commissioner (Informacijski pooblaščenec) or the supervisory authority where you live.
9. Children
The app is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal data from them.
10. Changes
If the way the app handles data changes, we will update this policy and its effective date on this page. Purchases and subscription management remain subject to Apple's settings.
